‘rat salad’ is the alias of dj/ producers leo elstob (mountain of one / faith / people’s popular front) and rupert lyddon (grand national – sunday best)…..

they’ve spent the last few months intensively trawling their 50,000 strong record collection and carefully re-editing, re-mastering and re-working everything that fits the rat salad musical junket….
they’re using old school tape edits and tracks fed half-speed through prehistoric valve amps / limiters to give them an extra rich sound and a unique rat salad double dollop of wallop!

the tracks on this mix were all chosen especially for ALLEZ-ALLEZ with a loose concept of sounding ‘a bit like a weirdo french new wave dj set in 1985’ – all you need to get the full effect – is drainpipes, and a pair of africa bambatta stylee new wave shades, and pogo about to ‘cannibalized’ played at 33….

one day late and a couple of stone heavier we’re back. this week we’re honoured to have an exclusive mix from guido schneider, one of our favourite producers over here at AA. his slinky, clipped, trippy, and fundementally groovy beats really stand apart from so much of the minimal dross that clogs up record shops / the internet.
